Drawing encouraged, but don’t touch the cars!
Come join us for our first ever drawing class at the Saratoga Auto Museum. Here is an opportunity to draw some of the most iconic cars used in the movies. The instructor and current docent Mike Velthaus will help you get started and offer assistance and encouragement throughout the evening. If you haven’t already seen the exhibit, here is your chance to get a closer look. And the best part, if you’ve done any figure drawing in the past, the models don’t move!
Light beverages (soda and water) and snacks will be provided.
Suggested material list:
11” x 14” drawing/sketching pad. Strathmore or similar, preferably with a little texture.
2H, HB, 2B, and 4B pencils (charcoal sticks/pencils if you prefer)
A manual (small) pencil sharpener
A kneaded eraser and a white plastic eraser
All of these can be found at Soave Faire on Broadway in Saratoga
or at Michael’s stores. Keep it simple, don’t spend a lot. I will bring other materials if you would like to experiment with colored pencils, pastels, etc.
