Stephen Lack has been exhibiting his paintings both nationally and internationally (Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia) with over 35 one man shows during the past thirty years. As one of the founding participants of the NY City’s “East Village Scene” during the 80’s, his work received the attention and reviews from the major art critical venues, The New York Times, Art in America, Art News, ArtForum, Arts Magazine, Flash Art international, and The Toronto Globe and Mail among others.
Stephen’s work is in many major collections, public and private. They include Chase Manhattan Bank; Speyer Family Collection; The Rubell Collection; T.D.Bank; The Brooklyn Museum, The Rutgers Print Archive; Senvest Corp, Ralph Lauren; The New Britain Museum of American Art; The Howard Shore Collection; The NY Public Library Collection; among others.

Stephen and his work has been the subject of a profile on Bravo TV Arts&Minds. He has had two museum retrospectives, The Edge of Innocence” at the Lyman Allyn Museum in New London Ct. and “AUTONATION” at the Illinois State School of the Arts in Normal Illinois. Presently he has 18 paintings of ‘automobiles in the landscape’ at the Saratoga Automobile Museum, Saratoga Springs NY.
