There is much to enjoy during this two day celebration of vintage automobiles.  On Friday, you will have the opportunity to drive along some of the most scenic highways in New York State.  Along the way you will stop to view two exquisite collections of vehicles before we reach our luncheon destination, a local favorite,  Lanzie’s on the Lake.  Friday evening’s dinner will be a combination of delicious foods for the palate and great conversation as we dine at the historic Gideon Putnam Resort.

Some of last year’s trophy winning automobiles include Martin Moore & Rick Eagan’s 1911 Rambler Model 65 Wide Track, Bill Pope’s Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Zagato, Ele Chesney’s 1928 Minerva Darrin and a never before shown 1925 Amilcar with a skiff body, engine turned aluminum fenders and a lincrusta-covered body owned by Anthony Collins.

The Saratoga Invitational show field has grown from just 19 cars in its first year to over 90 in 2011. Proceeds from the Invitational are used to benefit the Museum’s educational programs throughout the year.   If you are interested in having your vehicle considered for the 2012 Invitational at Saratoga, please contact Jean Hoffman at jean.hoffman@saratogaautomuseum.org or 518-495-8258.  This will be one of the highlight events of Saratoga’s 2012 season.
